Eric Salone, a man driven by creativity, commitment and projects, is pursuing a dream: find a new way to light the world.

Eric Salone’s fascination for light almost certainly goes back to his teenage years in
Egypt. When, at the age of 26, he finally “discovered” France, it was by following the
path laid out by his parents, diplomats of French, Italian and international origins, who had given him the chance to travel the planet.
He set out to chart his own course through life, his determination bolstered by the
conviction that he would build it on three pillars: culture, creativity and empathy.

THE CREATIVE URGE…

After graduating in fashion design and technique at the Chambre syndicale de la couture in Paris and ESCP Europe, he soon found himself following in the footsteps of the great couturiers, before getting the urge to become a designer in his own right.

Passionate about culture, fashion and decoration, but also a keen shopper for collectables, Eric Salone followed his
instinct and launched the ICON62 brand.

His collection of lamps took functional lighting a step further, becoming a form of luminous gateway, built on the
past and lighting up the future…

So what is the ICON62 concept? Eric Salone set out to unearth original front pages from 1950s and 60s international magazines which commissioned the most talented photographers to portray the stars he had discovered and come to adore thanks to his parents … This was when he got the idea of creating a lamp with a contemporary design as a tribute to these eternal icons. First and foremost: Marilyn Monroe.

The actress, a goddess of the silver screen,
will be the first jewel in his range of
collector’s lamps!

It was no coincidence that Eric Salone chose the August 5 as the launch date for his range, commemorating the date on which Marilyn Monroe left us back in 1962!

ICON62, a form of super-impression on the legend! Stars to come will include JFK, James Dean, Paul Newman, Elisabeth Taylor and Marlon

Brando.

More than this, his aim was to assume the dual roles of creator and entrepreneur,
championing the cause of Life over Death, and transfiguring a banal, day-to-day
household item into a concentrate of emotions!
